![]() ![]() As soon as I moved the plug slightly the light went out! I am not certain ine way or the other if the light is supposed to be on all of the time or not, but when I held it firmly the light was very bright and remained on as long as I didn't move the cable!. ![]() I checked the three wires and they all appeared to be soldered properly, and I could not detect anything wrong! I do want to thank rhe FixYa Expert for his input as he was right on as far as the inserting battery! I want to add one thing, when I held the cable plug in place firmly to the he guitar plug the light remained on as long as the plug was inserted into the Amp. Now I am positive that where the cable plugs into the guitar is definitely the problem, not the Fishman pre-amp! Even though we solved one problem, we did not solve the total problem, as the plug itself must have a short in the unit itself. ![]() I rechecked the battery with my multi-meter and it checked out to be 6.7 volts! So, the battery may have been part of the problem as it was below the 9 volt level! I replaced it with a new battery, and I did it as suggested making sure the + side of the battery was on the red wire! The light came on and then went off! I was thrilled because it appeared the Fishman worked after all, I then set all the treble, bass and volume, plucked at the strings, and no difference! I then plugged my Amp into the Guitar, and hit the plucked the string again, no difference in sound! I started to remove the cable from the Guitar and I hear a huge crack of a sound come from the Amp I began to ease out the cable and I could hear a hum, and hit the strings again, and the sound was on, and real good volume! could not get the cable to work with the guitar no matter how gentle I was. ![]()
